I bring a blend of corporate and community-focused experience. My corporate career has equipped me with skills in risk management, team leadership, and strategic planning. My 15 years of farming in South Gippsland have given me a deep understanding of sustainability and the importance of supporting local economies.

No, not at any level. My focus has been on community service and advocating for local issues.
6. Do you belong to a political party?
No, I have never been a member of a political party, and never will be. I believe councillors should be independent to best represent the interests of their communities, and not be bound by party politics.
7. Are you directing preferences?

8. Name up to five local issues that you consider most important and explain how you believe the council should tackle them.
Issue 1: Rubbish collection/waste disposal
Proper waste management is essential for our community's health and environment. The council should explore more efficient waste collection methods, including recycling programs and reducing landfill use. Collaboration with local businesses and residents to promote waste reduction and recycling initiatives is key.
Issue 2: Roads, footpaths, and drains (new and maintenance)
The condition of our infrastructure directly affects safety and accessibility. The council should prioritize the maintenance and improvement of roads, footpaths, and drainage systems, focusing on areas with the highest need to ensure safe and efficient movement for residents and visitors.
Issue 3: Value for money in service delivery
Ensuring that residents receive quality services for their rates is crucial. The council must regularly review its operations for efficiency, reducing unnecessary expenditures, and reallocating resources to areas that provide the most benefit to the community.
Issue 4: Aged care/youth/maternal health services
Supporting our community's vulnerable populations is a priority. The council should enhance services for aged care, youth, and maternal health by collaborating with local organizations and ensuring that programs are accessible, adequately funded, and tailored to meet the diverse needs of our residents.
Issue 5: Community safety
Safety is paramount for a thriving community. The council should work closely with local emergency services to maintain and improve safety measures, such as ensuring adequate lighting in public areas, maintaining safe public spaces, and facilitating programs that promote community awareness and preparedness.
9. Name the one thing you would most like to achieve if you are elected a Bass Coast Shire councillor.
I want to refocus the council to delivering quality local government services to our community.
