Bass Coast Chorale rehearsing On Such a Winter’s Day, the songs of the 60s
By Larry Hills

WHAT is nostalgia? It’s remembering those moments that shape our lives. It’s something a generation clings to. Something that makes us feel good.
At the Wonthaggi Baptist Church at 3pm on Sunday, June 23, the Bass Coast Chorale is presenting a concert of nostalgic songs: the songs of the 60s – songs you’ll remember. You’ll hear songs of The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Mamas and the Papas, Chuck Berry, The Turtles, Simon and Garfunkel, Crosby Stills and Nash, Joni Mitchell and more.

The Chorale welcomes special guest artist David Durant, who will add to the musical memories. The Chorale has been putting this program together since the beginning of the year, working tirelessly for this unique afternoon of feel-good songs.

Over the years, the Chorale has raised well over $20,000 for local charities. This concert is no exception. All monies raised from ticket sales will be given to charity. Tickets are $20 for adults and free for children. Purchase at https://www.trybooking.com/BDCVA or at the door on the day.

Larry Hills is musical director of the Bass Coast Chorale.
