Following the past two successful summer pop-up exhibitions, Phillip Island Contemporary Exhibition Space Inc (PICES) presents its third series of unique weekly exhibitions over four weeks in January.

This popular event will again be held in the Garden Room 3, Phillip Island Community and Learning Centre (PICAL), 56-58 Church St Cowes from January 5-31. The exhibitions are open from 10am-4pm daily except Tuesdays.

The exhibition opens at 7pm on Tuesday January 4 and all are welcome.

Following a call out for expressions of interest from artists earlier in the year, 28 artists from Phillip Island, Bass Coast and beyond have been selected to feature.

The program includes pottery, sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, textiles, woodturning, scratchboard, glass, encaustic and digital works.

Visitors will be surprised and delighted with the variety and talent of these artists whose works will be available for sale each week.

PICES continues to work for a permanent purpose-built community exhibition space on Phillip Island and aims to support artists and bring quality contemporary art to the community.  The inclusion of an art gallery in the proposed new Cowes Community Cultural Centre is encouraging and exciting.

Another exciting venture by the PICES committee. Thanks for all your hard work. I'm looking forward to seeing the displays of such a wonderful range of artists. It's certainly time we had a dedicated gallery space in Cowes.
