Word gets around

THOSE who attended the final session of the summer readings in the Wonthaggi library last month were entertained by two very funny readings of personal works by Gill Heal and Hamish Trumble.
In her slice of memoir, Three Monkeys, Gill triumphantly laid to rest the ghosts of a childhood humiliation, while Hamish swept the audience up in his The Extraction, a lurid stream of consciousness account of a visit to his dentist.

Both writers are accomplished performers, and their readings prompted great mirth and prolonged applause.

Thanks to Carolyn Landon, who recorded the occasion, the Post is pleased to present recordings of two great performances.
