AS THE great Inverloch dune reconstruction project enters its final stages, Mick Green of Drift Media captured these stunning images of the dredge at work in Anderson Inlet on Monday.

DEECA’s Gippsland Coastal Projects team confirmed that Hall Contracting is now working towards the end of the project area past Wreck Creek.
Battering and tidy up of the dune profile will occur as they work their way back along the beach as part of demobilisation. The pipe decommissioning will begin over the next week or so.
Hall Contracting are working with a local contractor and the council to plan rehabilitation works for the lay down site at Lija Lookout Boat Ramp.
Concurrently, the Department of Transport and Planning is undertaking emergency repair works to repair the road shoulder on Bunurong road. Contractors are working together to ensure safe interaction of these two projects.
Bunurong Road is closed while the works are underway. It is expected to reopen by 5pm on Friday 21 August, subject to weather and site conditions.
DEECA and Hall Contracting thanked the community for their patience while the dune reconstruction project is finalised.
