LAST year, I was delighted to introduce (it’s no) drama in their performance of ‘Real. Not Real’ at the Wonthaggi Union Theatre.
The place was packed. They were awesome. And inspiring.
Late last year the all-abilities group from Bass Coast and South Gippsland secured funding from Creative Victoria to produce major productions and take part in collaborative workshops.
Led by artistic director Samara Cunningham, they were working on their 2020 production when the wheels fell off.

So this year, due to COVID-19, rather than a physical stage production, the team has changed direction and produced a short film that presents narratives of isolation performed by nine members of the ensemble.
The resulting three-minute film is engaging, often humorous and reflective of our moment in history.
