Picture‘A Hill Somewhere’. Painting by Julie Lundgren-Coulter
LEONGATHA’S Julie Lundgren-Coulter has won Bass Coast’s premier art award, Your Art Collection (YAC) Award, with her work ‘A Hill Somewhere’.

This work will join previous winners of the prestigious award and become part of Bass Coast Shire Council’s permanent art collection.

Judges David O’Halloran, Tobias Hengerveld and Juan Ford announced the winner at the opening of Your Art Collection exhibition, held at the Wonthaggi Union Community Arts Centre last Saturday.

The exhibition includes works from four local artists, Diana Edwards, Mary Hennekam, Adrian Johnson and Julie Lundgren-Coulter.

Each of these artists won a community art exhibition award during the year, progressing them to this final exhibition and the chance to take out the overall YAC Award.

The exhibition, in the foyer of the Wonthaggi Arts Centre, is open daily from 10am to 4pm until Thursday, 10 October.
