LOCAL pianist Jake Amy and singer Emma Volard combine with Canadian singer/pianist Paul Gellman in the next Stars of tomorrow concert in Wonthaggi.

​Jake is a multi-award winning pianist from Wonthaggi who draws inspiration from both the classical and jazz realms. A music student at Monash University, he toured Australia’s east coast in January 2019 with fem-funk band The Mamas.

Emma Volard received the 2015 Senior Jazz Encouragement Award. She fronts successful Melbourne bands (notably Silicon Valley and the Soul Machine, and writes songs for others. She played  the supporting role of Ellen in the Wonthaggi Theatrical Group’s production of Miss Saigon in 2017.

Emma is also completing a bachelor of music at Monash University and has studied and performed in New York City.

Canadian singer/songwriter Paul Gellman has written over 100 songs in an eclectic range of styles combining rock, pop, jazz, folk, blues, reggae, country, klezmer and more. He has performed solo and in bands for over 40 years, and brings a warm ambience to the stage.

They appear in concert at the Wonthaggi Baptist Church at 2pm on Saturday, February 23. Tickets at the door $15, including afternoon tea.
