The free storm debris collection will operate in the yellow area from April 22-29.

RESIDENTS in the most severely storm impacted areas of Bass Coast can benefit from an additional kerbside debris collection.

Emergency Recovery Victoria contractors will collect storm debris directly from the kerbside, eliminating the need for residents to transport the waste themselves.
The affected areas include all the Waterline townships, The Gurdies, Woodleigh, Almurta, Krowera, Glen Forbes and Glen Alvie.

The collection period will run from April 22 to 29, providing residents with a convenient opportunity to dispose of storm-related waste.

There is no need to call and register for this service. Residents are asked to place storm-related waste neatly on the kerbside.

Bass Coast Mayor Clare Le Serve encouraged residents to reach out to neighbours if they need help in getting their storm waste to the kerbside.

In addition to the kerbside collection, the council is offering free storm waste disposal at the tips until April 30 for residents who prefer to transport their waste personally.
