Have you discussed the Voice with friends/family/ workmates?
Yes.

How did that go?
We didn't really discuss the pros and cons, we talked about the escalating political nature of the 'debate' and the immovable, entrenched positions.

Have you changed your mind on the Voice?
No. Who has?

Have you tried to persuade anyone?
No.

Has anyone tried to persuade you?
No. Seriously, who would try to persuade me? The No folks in my circles know I'm a Yes.

Has anyone inspired you?
Yes. Aunty Sonia Weston.

What do you think of the process?
In theory it’s OK but the application is horrendous.

What should happen if the Voice doesn't get up in the referendum?
Resist the urge to migrate to NZ. Apologise to everyone. Take a long deep breath and head for the beach or the hills.

Well said Geoff. However…..
Whether the Voice gets up or not there has to be other action. But in particular if it does not get up then the only way of resolving the Aboriginal crisis and disadvantage is to have some accountability and audit of the $35 billion that is spent on Aboriginal affairs each year. Where does all the money go? It certainly does not flow in any large quantities down to the Aboriginals who live in their own communities, outside of the city dwelling activists who clearly demonstrate that they hate all other Australians as shown in the 26 pages of the Uluṟu statement. Australia needs a Royal Commission into Aboriginal affairs and accountability into all of the money put into the Department of Aboriginal affairs. Linda Burney should face a Royal Commission or at least a Senate enquiry to explain where all the money allocated to her as the Minister goes to. At least this way we will find out exactly what the real problems are.

You can actually do a lot of good with $35 billion if you really tried. There is a better way…….
