Yes or No.

I have asked myself these questions about the Referendum
Q. Were the British telling the truth when they first arrived and declared that the land was ''terra nullius," had no settlers.

A. Clearly it was a lie as they soon met settlers, the descendants of 60,000 years of settlement.
Q. More than a century after their arrival, the British descendants created a nation, Australia, with a constitution, a set of principles on which the Federation should be governed. Should that document have rectified that original lie and recognised the 60,000 years of settlement?
A. If the constitution was to cover ALL the population it should have included those earlier settlements. This referendum is an opportunity to rectify the original lie.

Q. Since British settlement there have been numerous attempts by various Governments to improve the life and opportunities for the original settlers. What have been the outcomes?
A. The Governments have acted on behalf of rather than with the original settlers. The financial  waste and failure of programs has been well documented.  This referendum will provide for decisions made in consultation, ''the Voice' with the original settlers. Hopefully Governments will make better, financially  wiser decisions if the Voice referendum is passed.

I will be voting YES.
